The traditional Mexican style of eating meals in Mexico came from Spain. The portion sizes and meal times in the culture of eating Mexican food are different from the usual meals that we have. Aside from the culture, their eating patterns, as well as their diet, are also unique. Mexicans usually eat a traditional Mexican food diet which includes healthy foods which are rich in taste.
Mexican eating habits are patterned to their lifestyle, work, and daily activities. While we ate a hefty meal during dinner, Mexicans only eat small portions every dinner time. Lunch is the biggest meal in the Mexican lifestyle and it is also a free time where you can talk to your family and friends. Mexican breakfast ranges from something light to a huge spread of Mexican food.

Tacos are a palm-sized corn tortilla which is served with meat, salsa, lime, onion, and cilantro. You can choose to put cheese on it to add flavor to it. There are different kinds of meat that you can put on tacos. The common one is called big filets of pork which is cooked all day and is covered with spices and pineapple on top.
Antojitos are small, tortilla-based food which is mostly served in restaurants, in the streets, or in any family gatherings and parties. It is usually covered with shredded lettuce, green salsa, cream, and powdered cheese. If you are on the diet, you can have the vegetarian antojitos instead.
Quesadillas is also a kind of antojitos which can be cook with a variety of fillings such as vegetables and meat. Vegetables such as mushrooms and zucchini flower complete the quesadillas recipe. And don’t forget the queso or cheese in the quesadilla which can add to its flavor.
Comida is considered as a Mexican staple food. It is considered as the largest meal of the day served with several courses, meat, beans, soup, and tortillas. Restaurants that serve a full Mexican Comida are called fondas or fonditas. Their menus include vegetable soup or noodles, tortillas, rice beans, a piece of meat in sauce, stuffed pepper, and enchiladas.
